UP Mahotsav Magic
Uttar Pradesh Mahotsav, celebrated to mark the foundation day of the state, is a tribute to the rich cultural, spiritual, and historical heritage of Uttar Pradesh. The festival highlights the traditions, art forms, and unity that define the state’s identity, bringing together people through culture and celebration.
Marking the occasion, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) celebrated UP Mahotsav with great enthusiasm on campus. The university witnessed a vibrant cultural atmosphere as students and faculty came together to celebrate the spirit of Uttar Pradesh through a variety of performances and creative activities.
Students from different departments presented traditional and cultural dances, music performances, rangoli making, and poster-making activities, reflecting the artistic diversity of the state. B.Tech students performed energetic dance and music acts, while MBA students showcased a creative representation of all 75 cities of Uttar Pradesh, highlighting the state’s unity in diversity.

The play depicted the sacred cities of Vindhyachal, Ayodhya, Mathura-Vrindavan, Varanasi, and Prayagraj, conveying their cultural and religious significance. Conducted under the guidance of Dr. Juhi Bartariya, the play was led and narrated by Aayush Rai, who connected each city to the traditions and values of the state. Devotional roles such as Ram, Lakshman, Krishna, Radha, and Shiv were portrayed by Aman Singh, Aditya Pratap Singh, Ashutosh, Lakshya, and Mona Singh, while Kathak dance performances by Vijaylaxmi Chaurasia and Rishika Singh added artistic elegance to the event, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
The celebration was graced by many esteemed dignitaries including Dean and Director Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma at AKTU’s Centre for Advanced Studies (CAST), Registrar Reena Singh was also present, along with the Finance Officer and other officials.
